Parents within the Governing Council manage our centre. Parents in this group are involved in a range of activities, which will benefit all the children at kindergarten. Parents are welcome to join this group at any time during their child's year at kindergarten.
In partnership with the staff, the Governing Council is responsible for decisions concerning: services provided, social activities, centre philosophies, parent talks, policies, community activities, curriculum, maintenance and equipment.
Each year we have an Annual General Meeting where volunteer parents are elected to our Governing Council for the year. The Governing Council meets twice a term.
The Council consists of the following:
President
Vice President
Minutes Secretary
Parents are encouraged to be a part of the Governing Council. Becoming a member is a great way of having an active role in your child’s kindergarten and a way of getting to know other parents and staff. No experience is necessary and your comments, suggestions, concerns and ideas are always welcome.
Please see staff if you are interested in joining at any time of the year.
